Our collaboration with companies in the Automotive Industry continues, and indeed the number of dedicated projects is always greater.

In such a selective sector, it is essential to provide products that fully meet the high standards required for obvious security reasons.

Hence the decision to enrich our sorting department with a new sorting machine, with which we can increase our production capacity in automotive sorting and not only, guaranteeing a quality standard up to ppm 50.

But how does it work exactly?

Simple. The articles are loaded into a circular feeder which, by vibrating, sends them to an inclined linear guide. From here, they are introduced one by one in special housings on a rotating disk, which passes them to the examination of three separate cameras: one for the top view, one upper side and one lower side, to verify that the pieces meet the quality requirements pre-set when the selection is started. If only one of the three cameras identifies a non-compliant feature, the piece is discarded.

This allows us to make both dimensional and qualitative checks: in addition to compliance with the required technical specifications, we can control also the presence of cracks or discontinuities in the material, or the knurling dimensions. The machine can reach a speed of up to 350 pieces per minute.
In addition, with a view to developing the 4.0 technology, the new sorting machine also communicates with our company network through our MES, which allows constant monitoring in every single production step.
